The latest installment in the System-Series, System-Two employs a single thin titanium exoskeleton to achieve an elegant new take on a classic round aviator. Melding decorative styles spanning from antiquity to modernity, System-Two evokes the tatara ironworking method that allowed early Japanese blacksmiths to forge elaborate creations from clay blast ovens. This artisanal legacy flourished anew in the early 20th century, when modernist architects began to incorporate Japanese craftwork into structures and furnishings around the world. This decorative arts revival influenced the frame’s industrial proportions, as well as its etched temples and intricately sculpted end-pieces. Titanium frame material. Single titanium structure that wraps around titanium cupped lens rims. Custom titanium nosepads. Acetate temple tips. Ultra-thin 1.5mm titanium forged side cups. Lenses 100% UVA and UVB with anti-reflective coating. Made in Japan.
