The Eyevan Safari optical frame is a meticulously crafted titanium model that pays homage to the world’s first integrated pad and nose pad system, originally introduced in 1923. Its original rim design, slightly thicker than standard from both the front and top views, is inspired by 1930s metal frames once crafted in 12K gold, and features a milgrain and line pattern. The bridge design takes cues from this vintage heritage, while the intricately hand-engraved master mold extends decorative detailing even into the inner hinge structure. A layered “kabuse-tomo” endpiece construction houses a stop-hinge mechanism, seamlessly blending classical aesthetics with modern precision. The temples, adorned with fine engraving throughout, are made entirely from titanium, offering both luxurious detailing and exceptional comfort—an embodiment of Eyevan’s dedication to harmonizing design sophistication with functional innovation.
