CHIMI Eyewear: A New Perspective on Modern Minimalism

What makes a frame feel contemporary? Sometimes, it is a familiar shape seen differently: a slimmer profile, a softer edge or a connection between front and temples that deserves a closer look.

CHIMI explores this space between recognition and surprise. Its eyewear offers a way to bring character into an everyday wardrobe through considered design.

Scandinavian Roots, an Experimental Outlook

Founded in Stockholm in 2016 by Charlie Lindström and Daniel Djurdjevic, CHIMI combines Scandinavian minimalism with a bold, futuristic outlook.

Its Core Collection revisits classic eyewear shapes dating from the 1940s onwards. The appeal lies in how those references are reinterpreted: familiar enough to feel approachable, distinctive enough to make a look your own.

Beyond Eyewear: Fashion, Culture and Global Presence

CHIMI’s experimental outlook extends beyond its frames. Its exclusive collaboration with Koenigsegg introduces automotive influences through the racing-inspired G-Force collection, presented with Swedish artist Yung Lean and incorporating materials used in the Jesko Absolut.

Features in Vogue, WWD and GQ, alongside appearances on Kendall Jenner, The Weeknd and Hailey Bieber, connect the brand to a wider fashion and cultural conversation.

That perspective also shapes its physical spaces: developed with CAMPUS, CHIMI’s retail concept combines minimalist interiors with modular, bespoke furniture.

From its first international franchise in Cape Town to expansion plans for New York, London and Berlin, alongside shop-in-shops at Selfridges, Galeries Lafayette and KaDeWe, the brand is bringing its design language to an increasingly international audience.

Four Frames, Different Expressions

Lex Optics draws on 1990s minimalism through a slender, elongated oval silhouette. Edith Sun takes its cue from the early 2000s, with a slim profile and softly rounded contours.

For a more linear expression, CC Titan Plane pairs a fine rectangular shape with Japanese titanium and mineral lenses. Noct Sun offers a more sculptural rectangle, defined by bevelled edges and a custom metal connection between the front and temples.

Lex, Edith and Noct are handcrafted in Acetate Renew™, combining bio-based components with certified recycled polymers.

Choosing between them becomes a question of proportion and presence. Do you gravitate towards a narrow oval, a delicate metal profile or a frame with greater depth? Each creates a different relationship with the face and the clothes around it.
